Why does Might MAX feature a full silicone anti-drainback valve? Because silicone lasts longer and is more heat resistant than the nitrile used in traditional filters. That means longer life and better protection against dry starts.

The anti-drainback valve helps prevent the oil from escaping from the filter when the engine is switched off. While traditional nitrile is a suitable material for shorter oil change intervals, silicone anti-drainback valves are important for filters designed for new extended oil change intervals.We don’t hope it will last.
